The concept of Vexed was developed to create a magazine that harnesses the collective energy of a city, drawing from every corner to get a wide range of personalities displayed within the magazine. With a heavy focus on textures, distortion and loud design elements, the magazine seeks to stand out amongst the sleek and minimalistic magazines and catch the eye of readers. The magazine aims to draw attention to the unexpected and the difference between the intended design and its usage. The September Issue of Vexed, (Un)covered, probes into the underbelly of the city and asks you to rewalk the routes you thought you knew like the back of your hand. The streets are stained with stories, you just have to know who to ask. VEXED is here to distort the senses as you delve into the psychological environments of your physical landscape. It wants to show you the spaces that colour outside the lines and disturb the mundane flow.
Unearth the unconventional and make you question are you looking or seeing? Open your eyes and (re)consider what you know.
