A conversation with Emma Clegg & Molly Rogers, founders of JAM the label
UMENCO ‘a playbook’

JAM the label is an Adaptive Fashion brand founded in 2019 by Emma Clegg and Molly Rogers, two Occupational Therapists and Disability Support Workers with over 18 years of combined experience in the Disability sector. While working with two of their favourite clients, Jack and Maddie (hence, JAM), Emma and Molly noticed that dressing was a difficult task. A process that was time consuming and uncomfortable, even degrading. On a mission to promote self-expression, independence and dignity by providing stylish, accessible fashion opportunities for all, JAM was born. JAM creates Adaptive Clothing that makes dressing easier and more comfortable for people with Disability through a range of inclusive, functional and accessible design considerations. Stocked by the ICONIC and supported by the NDIS, JAM – and their exposure – has grown significantly in the last five years.  From being part of the first-ever adaptive runway at AAFW to an array of awards, presentations, and grants, and now transitioning to JAM full-time, these are just a few of the milestones they’ve achieved.
